1. Introduction
IacuWise ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our AI Prompt Optimizer service at iacuwise.com.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and profile picture through Google Sign-In or email authentication. This information is used solely for account management and authentication.
Prompt Data
When you use our optimizer, we store your original prompt, the optimized version, the selected AI model, optimization level, and token counts. As a secondary feature, we also store calculated environmental impact metrics (water, energy, COâ‚‚ savings). This data is used to provide the service and improve our optimization algorithms.
Usage Data
We track the number of optimizations per user to manage free and paid tier limits. We collect anonymous analytics (page views, visitor count, referral source) through Vercel Analytics, which uses no cookies. If you accept analytics cookies in our cookie banner, we also use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how visitors find and use IacuWise and to measure sign-ups and subscriptions from our ads.
Guest Usage
If you use IacuWise without an account, your optimization is stored without any personal identifier. To apply the daily guest limit we use a one-way hash of your IP address, which cannot be turned back into the address; the IP itself is not stored. Your browser's localStorage also remembers that the free try was used.
Shared Prompts
If you use the Share button on a result, the optimized prompt as IacuWise returned it (with its [placeholders] unfilled) is published at a public link that anyone with the link can open. It is not linked to your name or email, and search engines are asked not to index it. To have a shared prompt removed, use the report link on its page or write to go@iacuwise.com.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and maintain our prompt optimization service; track your usage within free or paid tier limits; improve our service and optimization quality; communicate with you about your account or service updates.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with row-level security policies. Authentication is handled through NextAuth.js with OAuth 2.0 (Google) and email magic links via Resend. Our application is hosted on Vercel with HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.
5. Third-Party Services
Anthropic API
Your prompts are sent to Anthropic's Claude API for optimization. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to their processing of this data. We do not share any personal account information with Anthropic — only the prompt text.
Google OAuth
If you sign in with Google, Google's privacy policy governs the authentication process. We only receive your basic profile information (name, email, profile picture).
Vercel Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics for anonymous, privacy-friendly website analytics. No cookies are used, and no personal data is collected by the analytics service.
Stripe
If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
Google Analytics and Google Ads
Only if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics and the Google Ads conversion tag set cookies to measure visits and the sign-ups and subscriptions that come from our ads. Google's privacy policy applies. If you decline, these scripts are not loaded.
Google AdSense
Only if you accept cookies, free users may see ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com.
Sentry
We use Sentry to detect and fix technical errors. When an error occurs, Sentry receives technical details such as the page, browser and error message. We configure it not to collect personal data such as IP addresses or cookies.
Resend
Sign-in links and service emails (welcome, billing and account notices) are sent through Resend, which processes your email address for delivery.
Email updates
If you subscribe to updates on our website, we store your email address to send you product news. You can ask us to remove it at any time by writing to go@iacuwise.com.
6. Data Retention
Your account data and optimization history are retained for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Guest optimization data is retained for analytics purposes and contains no personal identifier.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; withdraw consent for data processing; export your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below.
8. Cookies
IacuWise uses essential cookies for sign-in and session management, and localStorage to remember your language and whether you have used the guest try. Analytics and advertising cookies (Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google AdSense) are set only if you choose "Accept all" in our cookie banner; if you choose "Decline", they are not loaded. To change your choice, clear this site's data in your browser and choose again.
9. Children's Privacy
IacuWise is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of any material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
